 Merz nije potvrđen za kancelara u prvom krugu

Njemačka politička scena danas je uzdrmana jer Friedrich Merz nije uspio postati kancelar već u prvom krugu glasanja. Razlozi za ovakav rezultat su višeslojni i duboko povezani s recentnim političkim odlukama i tenzijama u Njemačkoj.

Prvo, Merz i CDU suočili su se s gubitkom povjerenja zbog kršenja ključnih predizbornih obećanja, što je izazvalo razočaranje među tradicionalnim biračima. Drugo, njegova odluka da uđe u koaliciju sa SPD-om naišla je na otpor dijela konzervativnog spektra, koji je ovakav savez doživio kao izdaju vrijednosti desnog centra.

Treći, odluka njemačkih vlasti da AfD proglase ekstremističkom strankom i pokrenu raspravu o mogućoj zabrani dodatno je polarizirala političku scenu. Taj potez izazvao je snažan odgovor iz Washingtona: američka administracija javno je kritizirala Njemačku zbog ograničavanja političke konkurencije, što je dodatno zakompliciralo transatlantske odnose i pojačalo pritisak na Merza.

Sve ove okolnosti dovele su do današnjeg neuspjeha i otvorile pitanje političke stabilnosti, ali i budućeg smjera njemačke demokracije.

Drugi krug krenuo je u 15:15 sati, očekuje se da bi mogao biti izabran za kancelara.
